I am a first time customer. What do I need to do to start?
We have tried to make this process as simple as possible. Please see our services and how it works section for detailed information about our services and sign up to get going.
What exactly do you do?
We take care of all your laundry and dry-cleaning needs conveniently and with care. If you sign up for our wash-n-fold service we will pick up your soiled clothing, sort and wash them exactly the way you want us to, and deliver them clean and folded to your door. If you sign up for our dry-cleaning service, we will pick up and deliver your dry-cleaning right to your door.
Where will you pick up my laundry?
You tell us! We pick up wherever you feel most comfortable. We are happy to knock or we can pick up your laundry from your porch. If you live in an apartment building, we will work with you and your complex to make the experience as easy as possible for you.
What bag should I use?
We will provide you with your own personal Tidy Suds Sack for all of your orders. If you are a first time customer, just leave your laundry in a bag that closes (such as a plastic garbage bag) in your drop-off location. We will return your clean laundry with your complimentary Tidy Suds Sack that includes your own personal information card.
Do I have to sort my clothes or do anything else for delivery?
Absolutely not! We keep it simple and as convenient as possible for our customers. Simply stuff your clothes in your Tidy Suds Sack, leave it in your preferred location, and let us do the rest.
If I need a certain detergent or have other special needs, will they be met?
Absolutely! What makes our service unique is that you can change your laundering preferences to suit your needs. Such preferences include the brand of detergent, separation of loads, water temperature, fabric softener sheets, starch level for dry-cleaning, and more. We may charge a small fee for some of these services, which is clearly stated if you decide to choose any. If you desire a specific detergent that we do not carry, you can leave it for us in a plastic bag and we will substitute it at no additional cost. If you have a more specific need that is not addressed in the preferences section of your account, just indicate this within your order or email us and we will do our best.
Where do you deliver?
We proudly serve Bloomington, Indiana. Please see our service area for more specific information. If we do not currently serve from your area fill out our request form on our service area page and we may be able to swing by.
How much does it cost? Does Tidy Suds charge a delivery fee?
There are no additional delivery fees and we've tried to make pricing as upfront as possible. For more information on pricing, please see our Dry-Cleaning, Suds Special, and Á La Carte pricing pages.
Do I have to meet you for my laundry pick up?
You do not have to meet us for pick up; however, you are welcome to meet us at the door for your pick up if you prefer. When you sign up you will designate an area to leave your laundry for pick up and delivery if we are not meeting you at the door.
How do I pay?
Currently we only accept orders via credit card over this website. After you sign up and schedule your order, you will pre-pay for your pick up through VeriSign, a third party payment service processor. If you would rather not use your credit or debit card, please contact us and we will try to accommodate all requests.
Will my credit card transaction be safe?
You can be rest assured that your credit card transaction will be safe and secure. We have partnered with VeriSign, the world’s premier internet payment processor, to provide a secure credit card transaction for all of our customers. We never carry your personal credit card information anywhere in our system and prefer to leave your sensitive financial information to the professionals.
Will my personal information be kept private?
We value our customers’ privacy and will never share or sell your personal information to anyone. All customer information is used solely to provide you with fantastic service. We will occasionally send our customers service updates and coupons via email and will not abuse this privilege.
What happens if I am not home and forget to leave my clothes out?
Whether it is outside or inside, we are happy to pick up and drop off wherever it is most convenient for you. If you have scheduled an order that you do not need, we ask that you contact us by 4:00 p.m. on your scheduled pick up date. If you do not, a Tidy Suds employee will arrive at your residence and will attempt to contact you if no laundry is provided. If we cannot reach you before we leave your neighborhood, your order will be refunded except for a marginal “Customer Default Fee” as described in our terms and conditions. We will never charge any such fee for customers on our 3 and 6 month Weekly Suds Special Plans.
How many pounds of wash-n-fold laundry can I expect to use in a week?
Our average customer uses approximately one bag of laundry per week, which can hold up to 30 pounds! A family of 4 might use 3-4 bags per week. To find out the exact amount of laundry you need cleaned, you may want to weigh yourself on a scale before and after carrying your laundry. Also, please see an average list of laundry items and their respective weights.
Will my laundry be safe?
Your laundry will always be in the hands of a trusted professional. Your security and privacy is our highest priority and we provide a safe alternative to leaving your laundry unattended in a laundry facility.
What if an item is missing or damaged?
If an item is missing from your wardrobe, it’s very likely that it was never given to us to clean. In the unusual circumstance that an item is missing or damaged due to our service, we will reimburse you according to our terms and conditions.
How do I manage my orders?
After you login there will be an area where you can schedule and manage your orders, choose your personal laundry preferences, and obtain all necessary forms. All you need to do is sign up.
